How do I find clips using Footage of the World?
It's easy! Footage of the World gives you two ways to find the perfect clip for your project. Best yet, you can use the two technologies together! 1) Narrow your search using our "Refine By" filter functionality and 2) Use Keyword Search capabilities further distill your result set. For example, you can search for the keyword "mountains" and then narrow your search by selecting the location "Austria." Then narrow your selection by selecting "rivers." If you want a pan select "pan." Add another keyword "turquoise" (by using the left navigation Keyword Search) and you'll have narrowed your selection to a clip that has mountains and a turquoise river in Austria which is shot as a pan.
How do I narrow my results by using filters?
After you have searched for a clip using keywords, or have selected the main categories from the home page, you can narrow your selection by simply selecting a filter option under the "Refine By" verbiage on the left navigation bar.
After I refine my search, how do I remove a filter?
Simply click the turquoise filtered item and that filter will be removed.
Can I narrow my results by keywords?
Yes! Use the Keyword Search under the "Refine By" verbiage in the left navigation bar to further refine your results.
Can I remove a keyword so I get more results?
Yes! Simply click the turquoise filtered Keyword item, and that Keyword will be removed.

How does Footage of the World protect my credit card information?
Our entire site is under a secure connection managed by GeoTrust (One of the largest, most reputable secure certificate authorizer on the web). Additionally, we do not store any credit card information on Footage of the World.com. After transactions are complete, the data is safely deleted.
How does the clip download work?
It's easy! After purchasing your clip(s), you will be taken to the "My Orders" page where you can download the clip by simply clicking on the clip name (as you would for any other file on the internet).
Can I download my clip a few days after I purchase the clip?
Yes! Footage of the World allows you to download your clips within 30 days of purchase. Simply login, go to "My Account" and then click "My Orders."
Can I get see the invoice details of my historical orders?
Yes! The invoice details of all previous orders are accessible forever. Simply login, go to "My Account" and then click "My Orders" for a complete list of previous orders and full order details.
Does Footage of the World save my Cart from session to session?
Yes! Just login, shop and if you want to purchase later, simply logout. When you return, login and your cart will be just as you left it.
How do I change my password?
Simply login, go to "My Account" and then click "My Info / Change Password." Enter your Old Password and then enter your New Password. Re-enter it and click the "Change Password" button.
What if I forgot my password?
No problem. From the "Login" screen, click "Forgot Your Password?" You will be instructed to enter your email address that you entered when first signing up at Footage of the World.com. After entering your email address, click "Submit" and your password will be emailed to the address we have on file within 10 minutes.
How do I change my User Name (Email Address)?
Your user name is your email address. So, to change your user name, you must change your email address. To change your email address simply login, go to "My Account" and then click "My Info / Change Password." Update your email address and click "Save General Info."
How do I update my name and company information?

How do I update my addresses?
Simply login, go to "My Account" and then click "My Addresses." You can Add a new address, Edit an existing address or Delete an address from this screen. Footage of the World requires that you have at least one address on file. You can also, update and add addresses during the checkout process.

Click the clip thumbnail and gain access to a larger version of the clip, pricing, and full clip details that include: a) Clip Dimensions b) Format c) Filmed Location d) Clip Duration e) Originally Shot On f) Shot Format g) Frames per Second (FPS) h) Clip ID. Plus you'll be able to link to the clip's collection.
Do the purchased clips have a watermark on them?
No. Only the preview clips on the website have a watermark. Purchased clips will not have a watermark.

How does Footage of the World licensing work?
All stock footage clips are Royalty-free. Royalty free means that you only pay once for the licensing fee for the stock footage. After that, you are free to keep using the stock footage shots as many times as you like with no additional royalty fees or payments. Detailed information can be found by clicking "Legal."
How long can I use the clip that I downloaded?
Here's the beauty of Royalty-Free: You can continue to use the video clips that you download for as long as you want, there is no time limit!
Where can I use Footage of the World clips?
According to our Licensing Terms you may use the video clips in videos, T.V. advertisements, educational videos, web sites, multimedia presentations, broadcasting videos, and many other uses. See "Legal" for more information.
Can I have exclusive rights to a clip or collection?
Yes! Footage of the World only uses in-house videographers. Therefore, Footage of the World is the only place where these clips can be found. If you want exclusive rights to a clip, email us at info@Footage of the World.com. We will check to see the sales history of the clip / collection you want and work out a price from there.
If I modify a clip, can I claim copyright to that clip?
You may modify any clip and use it, however, you may not claim copyright to that clip. Footage of the World will continue to own all clips.
Can I sell the film clips that I download?
No, you may not sell the video clips that you have downloaded from Footage of the World.com. You can use them in your projects, but you may not offer them for resale or distribution.

All High Definition formats are downloadable in their original MPEG-2 format. All clips on this site are shot on high-end HDV professional camcorders such as the Sony HVR-Z1U, HVR-A1U or the HVR-V1U. HDV MPEG-2 uses 1440x1080 rectangular pixels that have a viewing area of 1920x1080. All clips abide by the 16:9 format. Footage of the World does not recompress its original HD clips into any other formats so you ensure you are getting the highest quality, native, High Definition clips. MPEG-2 codec is compatible on all editing systems.
Standard Definition:
All Standard Definition Clips are exported using the high-highest quality Photo-JPEG codec. The Photo-JPEG codec is nearly lossless ensuring the clip will retain its vivid colors and qualities. Since all clips on our site are shot on 16:9 High Definition, all standard definition clips are 854x480 16:9. We give you the ability to letterhead or create a cinema effect (widescreen). Quality is #1 at Footage of the World. We deliver the highest quality clips possible. This codec is compatible on all editing systems.
Internet Resolution:
All Internet Resolution clips are exported using the highest quality H.264 compression. H.264 uses the latest innovations in video compression technology to provide incredible video quality from the smallest amount of video data.
